Rengali Dam: A Dam in Angul

The Rengali Dam, situated in Rengali village approximately 70 km from Angul in the Angul district of Odisha, India, spans the Brahmani River. Its construction was completed in 1985. Downstream of the Rengali Dam, about 35 km away, a barrage has been erected across the Brahmani River. This barrage serves the purpose of storing flood releases from the dam and redirecting them through two canal systems. The entire catchment area of the dam is 25,250 km2, and there is a stretch between the dam and barrage.
