Abhilipsa Panda | The Rising Indian Singer From Odisha

Abhilipsa Panda, an Indian singer, was born on 30th November 2004 in Barbil, a small town in the Keonjhar district of Odisha. Popular through her original music video ‘Har Har Shambhu’. She belongs to a Brahmin family and grew up with her parents and younger sister. Her father, Ashok Panda, served in the Indian Army before taking up a managerial position in a private security company. Her mother, Puspashree, works as a teacher.

Abhilipsa’s journey with music began early in her life. She was introduced to music through her grandfather, who was well-known in their village for playing the harmonium. Under his guidance, she developed a love for music. Abhilipsa started learning classical music at a young age, even beginning Odissi Classical Vocal training when she was just 4 years old. However, she had to discontinue her lessons due to unforeseen circumstances.

Career in Music

In 2015, Abhilipsa began learning Hindustani Vocal at the Draupadi Devi Cultural Institute. During her studies, her mentor asked if she would like to sing a children’s song, and she agreed, marking her entry into the singing industry.

In 2017-18, she achieved success by winning the Governors Trophy in Hindustani Classical Vocal. Additionally, she participated in the Odia reality show, Orissa Super Singer. Eventually, a video clip of Abhilipsa from the show caught the attention of Jitu Sharma, who was impressed by her voice. He reached out to her and recorded the song “Har Har Shambhu Shiv Mahadeva”.
